Red light therapy, also known as Light therapy or phototherapy consists of exposure to daylight or to specific wavelengths of light using polychromatic polarised light, lasers, light-emitting diodes, fluorescent lamps, dichroic lamps or very bright, full-spectrum light, usually controlled with various devices. Light therapy has been known to help psoriasis, vitiligo, acne vulgaris, cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, eczema, atopic dermatitis, polymorphous light eruption and lichen planus.
